Data Project Manager / Consultant (m/f/d)
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Project Manager / Consultant to lead the strategic execution of data initiatives. This role demands a strong background in digital media, marketing, and data consulting. You will be the central figure aligning our data projects with client goals, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams, and driving innovative solutions. Your expertise in digital tools, data governance, and regional data project management will be key to your success.
Your tasks:
Project Definition and Planning
- Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing scope, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure clarity of objectives, deliverables, and success metrics through detailed documentation.
- Align data projects with broader business strategies and client objectives.
Project Execution and Delivery
- Manage end-to-end data projects, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to best practices.
- Implement and monitor project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Proactively identify risks or bottlenecks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Team Coordination and Collaboration
- Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and strategists.
- Ensure smooth communication and data flow across stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers, ensuring their contributions align with project goals.
Client Interface and Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project management topics.
- Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address concerns promptly.
- Present project results and actionable insights to clients, demonstrating the value of data-driven strategies.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Define and track KPIs to measure project success and team performance.
- Continuously optimize project execution to meet or exceed expectations.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
Strategic Integration and Synergy Creation
- Collaborate with digital and data teams to identify synergies across initiatives.
- Ensure project outcomes align with broader organizational and client strategies.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices to enhance overall data operations.
Your profile:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Industry Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in project management within marketing, media, or data consulting industries. Experience with major media groups, data consulting firms, data vendors, or advertisers is required.
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform (GMP) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly GA4 and GTM.
- Experience managing web data layers and governance.
- Familiarity with Consumer Data Platforms (e.g., GCP, Treasure Data).
- Understanding of adtech and martech ecosystems.
- Regional Focus:
- Experience managing data governance and scaled data projects across regions.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Certifications: Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Business fluent English skills
